Futurama reference[edit]
Im fairly certain 'The Scary Door' on Futurama was a reference to 'The Twilight Zone.' Not Unsolved Mysteries.
Removed trivia section[edit]
Some parts were too silly to reporduce here. Others could be introduced into the rest of the article. Here is what was removed:
- Early in his career, Matthew McConaughey appeared as a murder victim in an Unsolved Mysteries re-enactment; this segment is collected on the 'Bizarre Murders' DVD set.
- Stack appeared as himself in the film BASEketball, in a parody of his Unsolved Mysteries persona; he also appears in the dramatic film Mumford (film), where his role as Unsolved Mysteries host plays a small but important part in the plot.
- A parody of Unsolved Mysteries, called Mysterious Mysteries of Strange Mystery, appears in Invader Zim.
Unsolved Mysteries on Lifetime Real Women[edit]
75.117.127.62 20:45, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Unsolved Mysteries is no longer airing on Lifetime Real Women as June 4th, 2007. This article will need to be edited to reflect that. Matter of fact, it's no longer listed on any Lifetime programming or channels.

Spike TV[edit]
Now real men will see people shooting at UFOs (Kelly-Hopkinsville Encounter) and Bigfoot (Fouke, AR regularly reports people shooting at it, and idiot skeptics). 65.163.112.104 01:40, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- The Close Encounter article shows people shooting at UFOs and aliens - unless it got censored in spite of 'No Censorship' on Wikipedia. 65.163.112.104 01:42, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Radio show?[edit]
Was this series based on the much older radio show of the same name (which followed a similar format)?--Pharos 19:58, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Episode Guide[edit]
Couldn't we get an episode guide for this article? I think tv.com has one, but I'm not sure about the legal details and copyrights. Wikifan4 (talk) 00:58, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Wikifan4Here's the link for that: http://www.tv.com/unsolved-mysteries/show/4540/episode_listings.htmlWikifan4 (talk) 00:26, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Theme song?[edit]
The article claims that the theme song is in phygian mode (sp), but contains no citation or other information about the song, particularly its composers and/or performers. I've searched all over the internet, but can't find any information. --72.213.17.222 (talk) 01:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Is it old or new on Spike?[edit]
How can it be 'new cases' yet 'content of the new series is solely recycled footage from the original show.' Which is true? This is contradictory.George Pelltier (talk) 17:04, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Title[edit]
I just hate the title of this show. Course it's unsolved otherwise it wouldn't be a mystery. I have been batting on about this for years (well before this show started on the air) and got nowhere. It is so tempting to add an etymology section or something. I think I will find a suitable article (perhaps Tautology) and link to this.
Rant over. Best wishes. SimonTrew (talk) 02:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Inconsistency[edit]
How can Robert Stack have hosted the show 'until his death in 2003' if the show wasn't on the air past 2002? -Rrius (talk) 08:21, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Lifetime Again???[edit]
Starting on about August 30, 2010, episodes of Unsolved Mysteries are set to air on Lifetime once again. They seem to be from the old show (not Dennis Farina) with Robert Stack. I think this is worth mentioning even if they are reruns. Wikifan4 (talk) 20:43, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind to the previous statements. It appears Lifetime changed it to the Dennis Farina episodes sadly enough. Wikifan4 (talk) 12:53, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Segments recycled into Discovery Channel show[edit]
The UM segment with William Roll investigating the house where the little girl is seeing the friendly ghost of an elderly man has been recycled (same exact video and audio, but with a new narrator speaking in place of Robert Stack) into some Discovery Channel show. If old UM segments are getting reused in new TV shows with different titles, this needs mentioning in the article. Anyone else seen it? --98.232.176.109 (talk) 19:42, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Why does this need to be mentioned in the article? If third party sources are giving it coverage (which is doubtful) then it can be inserted. --CutOffTies (talk) 19:45, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

The title always annoys me[edit]
Patently, they are unsolved mysteries. If they were solved mysteries, they wouldn't be mysteries> and some actually are solved. I know there is little I can do about this, but it gets me every time. (It's on CBS Reality in the UK at the moment, and they actually broadcast some quite good stuff, but I have to chew the carpet at the title. They're running trailers with a British one, which I am looking forward to, cos British policemen are always rather taciturn in their language, and say 'I was proceeding in a westerly direction with the Albert Hall on my left. sinister' instead of 'I was walking up Exhibition Road', so that should be rather fun. I need a new carpet, anyway.) Rant over. Si Trew (talk) 23:36, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
